You've probably noticed, that I'm not belittling Arma 2 as a game in any way - it may be a nice one, with a high skill ceiling, cool visuals and advanced simulation, but I really don't care about it - I had enough with Operation Flashpoint and Arma 1. I need the game only for one mod - DayZ - and for me it doesn't look reasonable enough to pay much just to play a mod. To prevent a similar response, I'm not belittling DayZ either - it may be a nice mod, but it's still in alpha and it's just a mod
@Wookybear
I don't really care about the price, I could buy the game at the local brick-and-mortal store for $10, because they don't know a thing about DayZ and still have it in stock. I was interested in how BI will behave now when DayZ is popular. I was hoping they won't react the same way EA/Activision would, but they didn't, thus no reason for me to be thankful. Now it's a matter of principle for me, because I don't want the other companies to do the same.
On the topic, Galactic Civilizations 2 is on voting now, so if somebody likes space strategies - it's a nice chance to vote for it. It's a good game, but a very niche one.
