Hey guys,

PoE has had some pretty amazing announcements recently including the jump to 10 acts and one single difficulty that scales throughout.

The 10 act jump hits in 3.0, which will follow the next challenge league (legacy), but there's still loads of new content to get through in the meantime.

2.6: Legacy league.

Legacy league takes each league affix so far and combines them all in one 'mega' league. There will be three league modifiers active at once, which can be changed by adding/modifying the league-stones.

The legacy league starts on 03/03/17 and usually lasts 3 months, but most usually burn out after 6-8 weeks.

DkR in PoE:

Myself, Nathan and Devlin still hold DkR in PoE and currently use the guild bank as a dumping ground for lower level maps and levelling gears (very helpful for new players).

We are happy to take on any new or returning players and teach them the ropes in terms of builds, progression and itemisation.

For any new players who don't know the league mechanics or would like to know a little more details, here's a quick recap of the league mechanics:

Here's also a Beginner's guide series by Engineering Eternity which will really help if you're new, but you may find it a little in depth: https://www.youtube....ZFXtIwP362XrdNe

So far, it's just Nathan and myself up for the 2.6 Legacy league, but if you're interested, let me know :)

Edit: Just to add, we will be playing the LSC (Legacy soft-core) league, non-SSF, as we often map together and like access to high end builds through trading. However, if you do play SSF, feel free to hang out with us on TS during the opening week or so :)

I'll be playing Legacy but will be in the SSF league to try it out for a while at least. Undecided if I'll go for HC or not yet :)

So far, we have signed up for the league start:

Myself

Nath - Nakrux

Chris - Chrisofski

Rob

Donkzy

Dave - unsure atm

To those out there who haven't played PoE before or maybe tried it once in the past: This is the league to play. Every league mod can be played (up to 3 at once). It will be the easiest league ever for new players to get their hands on expensive items that usually would only be accessible to hardcore players. The economy will be mental!

Many large AoE radius builds were nerfed, yet are still playable. Which means the streamers will probably all play projectile based builds (bows, spells etc). In PoE the economy is massively driven by the meta, which is hugely influenced by streamers. Any build which doesn't use projectile items or projectile scaling will be very cheap.

Melee builds are expected to get large buffs and quality of life improvements this patch(aside from blade flurry, which was nerfed), which may temp a few to play them. However, unless they get massive buffs to their ability to clear fast, I doubt they will take off again.

If anyone else is still looking to join us in PoE, please let us know before Friday so we can help you out by getting a build sorted for you (assuming you havn't played before).

I was flame totem build last time was a bit boring towards the end, so this time still wanting easyish build I like the look of some of the Essence Drain Contagion builds I find so think will try run with that your thoughts?

I know you say projectile builds be strong but for my time i don't think i can compete for the orbs to get some of the gear and as this was a bit last season i hope not a lot play??

The 2.6 Path notes were released today. Loads of uniques being reworked, OP meta builds being nerfed and an absolute shitload of changes.

Worth checking out the wall of text: https://www.pathofex...-thread/1839765

Not sure why the direct link isn't working, but here's the reddit link https://www.reddit.c...60_patch_notes/

Well, one week in and Nath's already chanced a headhunter. Lucky bastard!

As for myself, I've had a lot of work this week, so I'm still getting to maps on my second character.

We both started out playing EK nova builds with the new EK jewel. Aiming to scale poison through double dipping projectile damage and chaos. However, we struggled to level pretty hard, as we tried to scale chaos/poison at lower levels, which dosn't really work very well.

Nath is now playing his own take on terminus est flicker strike, which is going great for him and has rapid clear speed. But the HH scrub can basically faceroll anything now (yes we're all salty).

I'm leveling a Ngahmu's flame, fire cyclone raier for some juicy spin2win action. Plus everyone loves a free 6l.

Chris (Christofski) is leveling a generic ele bow build until he decides which path he wants to go down.

Jonas, our other buddy, is still rocking his pizza sticks (flameblast totems) although, he has also had a very busy week with uni.

Martin played HCL for a few days but died and lost his tabula. We haven't seen him since :(

So, one week in and this league has already proved to be the highest earning league so far - with an estimated 30+ mirrors dropped, countless headhunters, a handfull of eternal orbs and one (so far) legacy +1000hp Koam's Heart.

I'm playing FB totems in SSF at the moment. Level 85 with 36 maps unlocked on the Atlas. I haven't been levelling hard, have mainly been completing Prophecies and collecting currency really.

I was hoping to be able to finish the strongbox challenge with this map, but not a single Diviners from 36 boxes :(

I've found a couple of diviners solo, I'm about 50 maps in atlas but havent started my shaped map strats yet. My clear speed is a lot lower than the meta build like howa and king of the forrest, but my damage and survivability are great. It probably costs about 10ex to be fully kitted out, which beats the 50+ex of a good howa build.

I'd defo recommend trying Ngamahu's if you get one drop. Xoph's blood could be farmed by hammering xoph breaches and the rest of the gear could be life rares.

Meanwhile, good luck chancing your leather belts in nemesis maps :)

Atlas unlocks are slow in SSF, not being able to buy/share any maps to unlock the slots. I made a bit of progress the past couple of days but haven't been playing a huge amount.
