If anyone wants to take the political compass test again (or if you have never taken it), this is the website.

http://www.politicalcompass.org

After re-taking the test I got:

Economic Left/Right: 8.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.82

I took it again and got:

Economic Left/Right: 6.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.90

I have no idea how I've moved left economically.

It's wrong though, I should be 10 / -10, fully economically right, fully socially libertarian. Zero government intervention in the economy, zero government intervention in personal matters.

I somehow made it through the questions, and these are the results:

Economic Left/Right: -5.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.26

Apparently somewhere around the Dalai Lama, Gandhi and Nelson Mandela? Hah.
I was going to write a whole bunch of words to explain how I feel about politics, but I guess it all boils down to this:
I don't care about politics, or to be more precise, I have decided not to care about politics because I don't want to.

I know plenty of you will say I have some sort of responsibility to vote, or that politics matter to everyone. My answer to them is this:

I usually steer waay clear of politics, but thought this would be a (vague) indicator of where I stand?

Economic Left/Right: -5.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.05

Like you said Dark, The results vary so much that it really is about how you feel on a given day. I suppose if you've had a really bad day, been mugged etc. etc. your score would be so much more different than if you had been promoted at work, had recently been on holiday, cleared your debts etc. etc. (I'm trying to paint two different scenarios here; assume for argument's sake, they are the same people, a year apart.... or something).

Although I must say, some questions were a bit vague and open to interpretation.
I think I am right about were the dalai lama is and that does seem about right.
