The Heat Melted My Brain!

This week we've been working as a team on publics and through IRC, we've been focusing on voice communication and strategy following some suggestions from some of the clan. The results for each game have not been updated recently, of which we'll have to apologise for.

We have been forming little "buddy" groups within public to try and build our teamwork; Farrow and myself as well as Reaver have been working as a group which I've been enjoying thoroughly. We've been looking for flaws within our strategy and trying to vary the way we play and adapt to the enemies movements.

Indigo's scripts have been updated and they are ready for all those brave souls that dare use them. Sugar Plum has recently celebrated a birthday and should be coming back into full swing once her new rig is set up. Major_Malfunction has also celebrated his birthday and I swear, I will get out a special gift to him soon (check forums for details).

The week of wins!

We've had two official practice nights since my last update and 4 matches have been recorded on our results page.

Looks like we played GoT on Badlands; glad I wasn't a part of that match as I cannot stand that map at all – the capture points are far too open (apart from the last one) and there are too many ways for attacking forces to get to the points and screw you over; it's just way too hard to defend in my opinion. We prevailed against GoT and won 4 rounds to their 1, a nice win to add to the bag.

We also played 3 matches against aRc |, a clan we have battled before. First on Granary, an old favourite of mine; I think we've pretty much nailed the strategy down for this one and I enjoyed playing Soldier for the first time (without lagging). We then moved onto Fastlane – a map I have never really ever seen ever. I didn't really like the open middle point on Fastlane, it was far too difficult to defend or rally behind to attack again. Welcome to the news, long awaited and delayed slightly due to technical difficulties!

This week, we've seen a lot more action. We've been challenging the world of IRC to random battles which after a few doubts, I must say have gone quite well. People have been settling down to their specific classes and learning how to co-ordinate; this is not to say there isn't any work to be done with our teams as we have been bashed about a bit.

The forums have seen a little less action of late, this is probably due to the increased activity with the game. All new results should be available within the results page so we should see some happy faces!

Unfortunately, [DkR] Indig0 has met with a messy computer problem and won't be available for many games until his new parts arrive, and additionally [DkR] AnimalMother has decided to take a break. It will be a shame not to see them online but I'm sure we'll all be anticipating their return.

Go Ahead(s)!

And welcome to yet another terrible week of hot weather :( *Rage!!* I would like to add my welcomes to our newest recruits (some I have met, others I have yet to pleasure); Fade, Animal, t1gr3, saddeh and HELLYZAR. It looks like our roster is almost complete! After some tweaking and updating, I think it's looking the best and least irritating it's ever been. We still have one more slot to fill before official matches commence.

Farrow, DarkReaver, Soul_Rapture and myself met on Sunday (I think Farrow is still awaiting his medal for making the 4 hour drive just for a day) for a meal and to see the new Terminator film. Despite some distractions (mainly some very large ones!) we all seemed pretty happy to where the clan is heading and had a few discussions around tactics and recruitment as well as a good laugh!

Recruits

The past few days has seen a sizeable influx of new faces due to some goings on at Clan Ultimate where Sketch has been playing recently. I'm not exactly sure of the precise number coming over from Ult yet, but I will list the names that I'm aware of.

Welcome to: Animal, t1gr3, saddeh, hannisen and HELLYZAR. I believe there are several more joining us too.

I'd also like to welcome Fade to the clan, a former member of [STF] who we had some great matches with last year but who unfortunately disbanded.
