Last night I upgraded the forums to the latest version. Most of the changes only affected the admin area or were bugfixes, but a couple of things have been changed.

There's now a map on the profile of anyone who has marked themselves on the member map.

Also, I've replaced post count pips with a reputation indicator on the thread view sidebar. I think reputation is much more deserving of being there than post count, and I want to encourage quality over quantity. I'll also be removing the ranks associated with post count (or at least hiding them), but I'm not sure what to use member titles for. I might just make them user-editable.

There are probably other minor additions or changes, but I haven't noticed any yet.

I encourage everyone to use the reputation system more now. Everyone can upvote up to 3 posts every 24 hours, so save it for posts that you think are really deserving and worthwhile.

There are currently 20 reputation ranks, I'll add more if necessary.

Lol. I don't think anyone will be reaching rank 20, probably ever, considering it's taken me over 2,200 extremely high quality posts to get to a measly rank 8.
