Thinking of getting this game, be a big help if someone could pm me what this games about and basically what you've got to do 

It's a survival based, post apocalypse, pvpve third/first person. 

It's only in Alpha right now, so there's no cars or helis, it's purely on foot. 

The majority of your time will be spent navigating between towns and scavenging for food/supplies. Most people you will come across WILL shoot/kill on sight, because either you are a danger to them, or it's easy loot.

As a new player, the biggest challenges for you will be learning to read the map and navigate - this sounds like a simple task, believe me, it takes a long time to master. You could watch some streams about it, but it's far better to learn by playing yourself and there's loads of guildies getting into it ATM.

Tips:

• You will 90% of the time spawn on the coast, GET OFF THE COAST. It's where everyone spawns, high loot density attracts bandits (people who kill others) and therefore the chances of coming across people is high.
• Don't eat rotten food - you will get sick and it's hard to get rid of.
• Most tins, such as tuna, beans ect need a can opener to get into. You can also use an axe/screwdriver - but you will loose some. Some are ring pulls and don't require openers
• Use the map for water: there are water taps in almost every town to fill bottles/canteens up. (bottles and canteens are very valuable.
• Saline bags and saline IV bags are very valuable loot - they give you full blood on the current patch.
• Get a rucksack. You are useless without one.
• don't fight zombies without an axe, you can run through buildings/loose LoS (although it's buggy) and they will drop agro. When you have an axe (fire axe) it's one hit to the head.
• Plan a route/journey. This makes it much more of an enjoyable adventure.
• If you see another player, don't assume he has seen you. If he has a gun and you don't, lie down/hide, wait for him to pass. If you get spotted (he's looking at you) RUN. don't make yourself an easy kill.
• Play carefully, it may not be as fast paced if you're crouch running through the treeline, scoping out every town for a few mins before you approach - but it's more fun than running straight into a building and getting axed to death by a fresh spawn before you can pull a gun.

This game is harsh and unforgiving - however, only about 5% of the players have any clue what they are doing (they played the mod),the rest bought it off steam and had never heard about it before. It's not hard to have fun if you invest a little time. It is Alpha - expect bugs.
